Summary
Support the development of scientific communication platform (scientific statements, lexicon, and scientific narrative) aligned with Therapeutic Area and scientific communications for assigned launch asset/disease area including publication strategy, planning and execution, global medical education strategy and execution.
About The Role
Key responsibilities
* Create and align scientific communication plans with Therapeutic Area priorities for assigned assets/disease areas.
* Oversee global publication plans and lead cross-functional publication teams effectively.
* Implement global medical education strategies, including scientific events and pipeline-focused resources.
* Collaborate with Therapeutic Area teams to develop scientific narratives, lexicon, and statements.
* Coordinate data interpretation, trial results, competitor analysis, and congress narratives.
* Ensure all communications comply with legal, regulatory, and Novartis-specific requirements.
* Manage vendor selection, approvals, and project budgets while maintaining fiscal discipline.
* Build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance communication impact.
Essential Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare-related industries, ideally in publication planning and/or medical education.
* Advanced degree or equivalent education in life sciences/healthcare preferred (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD).
* Experience developing communication strategies and key scientific platforms. Ability to provide strategic insight into expert development, publication planning, and medical education for launch assets.
* Skilled in scientific messaging and execution of publications, with strong communication abilities for lay audiences.
* Thorough understanding of ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
* Strategic mindset with innovation, critical thinking, and performance-driven motivation.
* Experience working effectively in matrix environments across functions, regions, and countries.
