We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Fuel Supply Chain Engineer.
The role is based in our Head Office and will involve travel across the network as required.
Purpose of the job:
Manage all technical aspects of the Fuel Storage and distribution installations in various locations: Dublin Port, Connolly Station, Heuston Station, Drogheda DMU Depot, Portlaoise Train Care Depot, Limerick Wagon Works, Waterford Loco, Cork CME Depot.
Overall responsibility for management of all fuel farm refurbishment projects from design, procurement support & implementation.
Management of continuous maintenance regime on all CME Fuel Storage locations.
Engage with all third-party contractors who carry out works on IE Fuel terminals to ensure all works are carried out to industry standard.
Monitor and report on fuel maintenance spend against budget.
Manage and report on all aspects of the fuel maintenance contractor’s performance against their contractual commitments.
Management of the very significant health and safety responsibility associated with CME’s fuel storage and distribution installations.
Manage the technical relationship with third party bodies including but not limited to the HSA, Dublin Port Authority, Byrne O ‘Cléirigh, National Oil Reserves Agency, Dublin Fire Brigade.
Essential requirements:
At least 5 years’ experience in the operation, maintenance, design or construction of facilities for the handling, transportation and storage of petroleum fuels, biofuels or bulk chemical liquids.
At least 5 years relevant professional experience in large scale site management and commissioning projects.
Significant experience of contract/contractor management.
Technical ability & understanding of technical standards specifically associated with the petroleum fuel industry.
People management skills.
Candidate will be required to hold an engineering degree or equivalent level of engineering experience.
Experience of compiling and managing budgets.
Knowledge of maintenance tracking software.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all technical aspects of the Fuel Storage and distribution installations.
Responsible for ensuring all third-party contractors are working to industry standards.
Manage, from a technical aspect, all CME Fuel Infrastructure to ensure it’s maintained to industry agreed standards.
Complete scopes of work for preventative maintenance tenders.
Complete scopes of work for external and internal pipework/tank inspections.
Complete scopes of work for refurbishment and improvement works to CME Fuel installations.
Track all routine weekly inspections in CME depot locations to ensure they are being completed and actions arising recorded.
Manage the integrity of all Interceptors/bulk tanks/pipe work/bunds/fuel intake areas in CME fuel installations.
Have a technical management oversight on the collection and inputting of maintenance records to our maintenance tracking database.
Ensure all CME Fuel installations are compliant with current legislation, Dangerous Substance Licenses, Fuel Storage Licences etc.
