Key Responsibilities Strategic Oversight: Transition from initial hands-on commercial management to a top-level leadership role, overseeing the commercial health of a high-value project portfolio.
Team Development & Recruitment: Lead and mentor an existing team of four, including the career development of a Senior Surveyor into a management role.
Identify and hire new talent to support business growth.
Contractual Excellence: Act as the internal authority on contract law and risk, ensuring the business is protected from a subcontractor perspective.
Systems & SOPs: Utilize and refine a newly implemented bespoke commercial management system.
Drive rigorous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) around project changes and variation management to keep ahead of constantly changing project landscape Supply Chain Management: Leverage and maintain a strong, established supply chain to ensure project continuity and margin protection.
Internal Growth Strategy: Work closely with business leadership on your own professional development plan while simultaneously building out robust progression paths for your team.
