The Role
As Sales and Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting CLS's commercial growth by driving lead generation, managing inbound and outbound sales activity, and delivering exceptional customer service.
You will act as a key point of contact for clients; ensuring that their needs are met efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with CLS's commitment to quality. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual with strong communication skills and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Lead Generation
* Manage inbound enquiries, qualify leads, and convert opportunities into sales.
* Proactively conduct outbound sales activity to targeted customer segments and follow up on marketing campaigns.
* Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate lead and pipeline information.
* Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to support sales initiatives and campaigns.
* Support in the preparation of proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
Customer Care Relationship Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring timely responses and high-quality service.
* Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers through regular communication and follow-up.
* Handle customer queries, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution to a high standard.
* Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Operations, Quality, Lab Teams) to ensure customer requirements are met.
Commercial Administrative Support
* Support the wider commercial team with administrative tasks including documentation, reporting, and pipeline tracking.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of sales and service processes to enhance customer experience.
* Monitor market trends and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities or service improvements.
Where you've come from:
* Proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management, ideally in a B2B environment.
* Experience in or an interest in life sciences, or laboratory services sector is advantageous.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite required.
