**Job Title:** Senior Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial department, you will be responsible for ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective cash and creditor management.
The successful candidate will have a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) and experience in financial accounting, ideally within construction, contracting, or property development. They will also have a strong background in management accounts preparation and financial reporting.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
* Leading the monthly financial close and presenting financial information for management and board reporting
* Producing consolidated financial reports across multiple sites and developments
* Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting, monitoring performance against targets and highlighting variances
* Analysing project costs and supporting cost-control initiatives
You will also oversee invoice processing, GRN matching, requisitions, purchase orders, and project valuation billing, as well as manage the full supplier and subcontractor creditor cycle, including payment runs, reconciliations, aged creditor reviews, and retention schedules.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
* Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
* Experience in financial accounting, ideally within construction, contracting, or property development
* Strong background in management accounts preparation and financial reporting
* Expert-level Excel skills, including modelling and data analysis
