Overview
Atlantic Aviation Group (AAG) is Shannon-based, with over 60 years of experience. The company provides Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance, MAA Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance (AAG Defence Services), CAMO & Technical Services, Part 21 Design Services and EASA Part 147 Training for airlines, MROs, and companies worldwide. AAG is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Aviation Trainer/Instructor for a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding environment to attract and develop talent across its growing aviation business.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver Aviation Training programs.
* Deliver EASA Part 66 Basic Theoretical and Workshop Practical Training modules, HF/CDCCL, Basic Metal work and Basic Sheet Metal work.
* Develop, prepare and review course material for Aviation Training programs (e.g., EASA Part 66 modules, Continuation Training, Practical Training) in line with customer needs.
* Carry out practical training and assessments in line with Part 147 requirements.
* Conduct assessments/examinations, ensuring clear standards and guidelines for students.
* Create a safe, effective learning environment and ensure student safety.
* Participate in planning training/examination schedules and coordinate with Customers, Authorities, etc.; propose solutions to bottlenecks/issues.
* Support maintenance and security of examination databases in line with standards.
* Review training effectiveness and implement corrective, preventative, or improvement actions as required by the Aviation Training Team Leader / Head of Aviation Services.
* Update MTOE and other policies, procedures, and directives; ensure courses are delivered accordingly.
* Lead projects or programs as assigned by the Aviation Training Team Leader or Head of 147 Training.
* Deliver training that may require working away from base and outside Ireland for long- and short-term durations.
* Support other Aviation Services Teams; deputise for the Aviation Training Team Leader.
* Liaise with customers, act as an ambassador for the school, invigilate exams, and coach/mentor assigned classes.
* Perform other duties as required by the Aviation Training Team Leader and Head of 147 Training.
* With additional training, deliver aircraft type training as applicable to your approval.
Candidate Requirements
* Completed a recognised Traineeship / Apprenticeship in Aircraft Structures and Composites or equivalent trade.
* Current Structures and Composites Technician or Instructor status is advantageous.
* Be prepared to pass relevant EASA Part 66 Modules; prior instructor experience in EASA Part 147 is advantageous.
* Knowledge of EASA Parts 145, 147 and 66.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, strong teamwork, and organizational skills.
* Ability to understand customer training and development needs.
* Strong instructional design and delivery skills; self-motivated, confident, and independent; capable of representing AAG at customer bases.
* Familiarity with Microsoft packages; experience with internet-based training tools and methods is advantageous.
Typical Working Conditions
* Must meet and maintain the required medical standard.
* Work at the AAG Hangar in Shannon.
* PPE provided and mandatory.
* Must satisfy airport security requirements.
