We have a great opportunity for a Cluster Human Resources Manager to join us in the [LOCATION] area at Leonardo Hotels. Reporting to the Assistant Group HR Manager, and managing a small HR team, you will provide quality HR leadership, support, coaching, and guidance for your cluster, supporting the Group HR team in delivering the HR strategy.
You’ll be primarily based in [BRANCH], with travel to other properties within your cluster as needed. Due to the operational nature of our business, your presence is important in our hotels and offices, but we are open to discussing flexible working options, including working from home one day a week where required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Selection: Coach hiring managers on recruitment activities, develop succession plans, and manage the Labour Turnover Strategy for the cluster.
2. Compliance: Ensure implementation of people-related policies and procedures, adherence to legislation, and compliance with all documentation and working time regulations.
3. Learning and Development: Monitor and communicate training programs, support personal development plans, identify local training needs, and oversee the group induction process.
4. Payroll: Support payroll processing, budget preparation, and act as an escalation point for payroll queries.
5. Employee Relations: Lead employment law compliance, coach managers on investigations and formal meetings, and promote employee wellbeing through quality conversations and appropriate signposting.
6. Engagement: Support HR strategy development, drive engagement activities, and utilize tools like “LEAPP” and “Leo Points” to enhance employee engagement.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience managing HR teams in a single-site or cluster setting, preferably in hotels or service sectors.
* Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices, with experience advising on disciplinary and grievance issues.
* CIPD qualification or progress towards it.
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* Competence in using HR systems and payroll software.
* Ability to coach and develop management teams in HR policies and processes.
* Knowledge of payroll operations is desirable.
