ROLE: Project Accountant (Contract)
REPORTING TO: Head of Finance
LOCATION:
Dublin
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a critical 6-month contract position reporting directly to the Head of Finance with a key focus on delivery of key finance projects across centralisation, process optimisation, controls, people and systems. The role does require travel across multiple sites in Dublin (North and South).
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead centralisation & optimization of the current finance landscape with the goal of ensuring consistency across accounting, management reporting, controls, payroll, systems and processes.
* Role out 'best in practice' finance processes including standardization of processes and procedures to drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all companies. This role will be required to perform an "as is" review and assessment across multiple sites in order to understand the current finance set up.
* Support management accounting activities as required including month-end close, management accounting, variance analysis, and commentary.
* Deliver training and support to finance users
* Support in the transition of finance activities to central location including processes and systems and key activities accounts Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and systems.
* Drive efficiencies through system improvements and automation
* Support accurate reporting and data integrity during month-end and year-end close
ABOUT THE PERSON:
Key Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
* Proven experience in a financial accounting role with project and systems exposure.
* Track record of delivering finance systems improvements and supporting financial operations.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
