Job Overview
This role involves providing technical expertise to drive business objectives, collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, estimating project efforts, and designing architectures that meet business needs. The ideal candidate will also support architects in their detailed designs while ensuring adherence to governance standards.
* Engage with engineering teams, enterprise architecture, agile delivery, product managers, project management, and senior leadership throughout the Product Development Life Cycle.
* Offer strategic guidance on platform evolution to meet business and technical demands.
* Develop a comprehensive technical vision for solutions and collaborate with other architects to bring designs to life, incorporating their expertise and knowledge.
* Promote the IT vision within Product Management and the organization.
* Ensure governance processes are followed and progressed as necessary.
* Take on a senior role in the team, guiding and mentoring members.
Requirements
To excel in this position, you will need:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering required.
* 12+ years of experience in software development, including 7+ years of designing software solutions.
* Proficiency in RESTful APIs, modern software cloud architecture, and hands-on experience with specific technologies including API gateways, Java, C#, microservices, data stores/data bases, and at least one cloud provider.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence decision-makers.
* Experience working collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues to deliver projects successfully.
* Able to go beyond the provided requirements to understand the business need and provide tailored solutions.
* An independent worker who can take direction and provide results-driven solutions.
