Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Senior Construction Estimator to lead the preparation of tenders and manage the compilation of subcontractor and supplier packages. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take a leadership role in developing and submitting accurate and competitive tenders across a variety of building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.
* Interpret drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
* Manage the compilation of subcontractor and supplier packages.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of estimating experience with a main contractor, preferably in the Irish construction sector.
* Strong commercial acumen and detailed knowledge of construction processes and costs.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Cubit, Buildsoft, or similar).
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
