Description:

The role of the Project HSE Advisor is to provide guidance, support and advice to Project Managers and other relevant personnel on the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety and Environmental systems and standards in accordance with our Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

The successful candidate will promote safe working practices and ensure the implementation of company HSE policy and procedures on site.

The incumbent will carry out regular site HSE inspections and report back findings to relevant personnel.

A comprehensive understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation is essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 7 qualification in Health and Safety and 3 years' experience in Project HSE Management.

An ability to deliver internal Health and Safety management courses and advise on HSE issues on a day-to-day basis is required.

The Project HSE Advisor will work closely with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that HSE project plans meet company standards.

This role involves promoting BAM HSE ethos, values and concepts and becoming a Role Model for Safe Behaviour.

Liaising with relevant legal authorities (e.g. H.S.A, EPA etc.) is also a key aspect of this position.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment.


Requirements:

* Level 7 qualification in Health and Safety
* 3 years successful postgraduate experience in Project HSE Management
* Thorough knowledge of ISO: 45001 and ISO: 14001 standards
* Working towards graduate membership of IOSH
* Ability to deliver internal Health and Safety management courses
* Ability to advise on HSE issues on a day-to-day basis
* Ability to conduct standard accident/incident investigations
* Ability to write HSE site reports
