Director of International operations & Business Development
Our clients, a well-established practice with offices in Tralee and Killarney are presently recruiting a Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services, and supporting the continued success of our firm. This is a permanent position, offering a hybrid working week.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review income tax, corporation tax, and VAT returns for a wide range of clients.
* Manage personal and corporate tax compliance deadlines efficiently.
* Provide tax planning and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, and companies.
* Liaise with Revenue on behalf of clients, managing queries and correspondence.
* Assist in preparing financial statements and management accounts when required.
* Keep up to date with Irish tax legislation and Revenue developments.
* Contribute to process improvement and ensure best practice in tax compliance.
* Support junior staff through training and mentoring.
* Work collaboratively across both the Tralee and Killarney offices as needed.
Requirements
* Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA) and/or AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).
* Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in practice, with a strong focus on tax.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish tax legislation and compliance processes with strong proficiency in tax software.
