You are a top maritime professional with 15+ years of experience in inland and/or ocean towing. You are looking for a new and unique challenge to put your accumulated experience to work.
Robson Forensic, a longstanding forensic expert firm with an excellent reputation in the legal and scientific community, is looking for an Inland or Ocean Tug & Towing Specialist with significant inland (rivers) and/or ocean towing experience.
As an investigative consultant, you will provide investigations, analysis, reporting, and testimony in legal cases involving fleeting and inland river and/or ocean transportation related incidents. This is a unique opportunity to transition from hands-on marine operations into a highly respected maritime consultant role supporting litigation and other investigations in the maritime sector.
LOCATION:
FL, GA, NV, OH, PA, TX
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Investigate maritime incidents involving towing operations.
* Analyze tug, tow, and barge handling procedures.
* Prepare written expert reports.
* Testify in depositions and court.
* Collaborate with attorneys and other technical experts.
REQUIREMENTS:
* College degree (specific field not specified).
* Experience (15+ years) operating towing vessels (inland and/or ocean).
* Valid USCG license (Master or Mate) with towing endorsement or similar professional background.
* Thorough understanding of navigation, towing safety, Coast Guard regulations, and industry practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent technical and analytical skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
