Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Service Design Manager to join our key financial client in Dublin on a 6-12-month contract. This role is pivotal in embedding structured service design into both transformation programmes and BAU initiatives, ensuring that all services are resilient, compliant, and operationally ready from day one. The successful candidate will contribute directly to our client's ITSD maturity journey, aligning with key strategic pillars across risk, reliability, and regulatory enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Service Design & Transition
* Lead the creation and delivery of comprehensive Service Design Packages (SDPs) for new and modified services.
* Ensure operational readiness through validated service components and close collaboration with architecture, engineering, and operations teams.
* Drive lifecycle traceability and supportability from design through to transition.
Regulatory & Programme Alignment
* Ensure service onboarding aligns with regulatory frameworks including DORA and ECB guidelines.
* Support resilience, continuity, and compliance capabilities across service delivery.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
* Standardise service design processes, templates, and governance models.
* Engage cross-functional stakeholders to embed service design into project and change lifecycles.
* Champion continuous improvement in service onboarding and operational readiness.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in IT Service Design and Transition, ideally within financial services or regulated environments.
* Strong understanding of ITIL v4 principles and service lifecycle management.
* Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality documentation and process designs.
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as DORA and ECB.
* Experience working with Japanese or Asian financial institutions is highly desirable.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
* Proficiency in tools such as ServiceNow, Visio, and SharePoint.
* Project management certification (e.g., Prince2, PMP) is a plus.
