We're hiring aSenior Software Engineer / Tech Leadat Quantum Sports Data (QSD).We build some of the most advanced prediction models in the sports we work in and run them into real betting and trading markets. We now want someone to take real ownership of thesoftware sideof that – architecture, codebase, and the small team working on it.This is asenior, hands-on role,full-time, hybrid in Dublin.What you'll be doingTaking ownership of the overall software architecture : services, data flows, and interfaces between modelling, data and trading.Leading the day-to-day work of the software team – setting direction, reviewing code, and keeping standards high.Designing and implementing backend services around our models: data ingest, processing, simulations, APIs and integrations.Working closely with the DevOps / Platform side to ensure things are reliable, observable and easy to deploy .Turning fairly fuzzy ideas ("we need to support X market / Y tour") into clear technical designs and shipped features.Keeping an eye on performance, complexity and tech debt, and making sensible trade-offs as we grow.What we're looking forMust havesSolid experience as a senior engineer (roughly 5+ years), including owning significant pieces of a production system.Strong backend skills, ideally with Python as a main language.Experience designing and building service-oriented or microservice-style architectures.Comfortable working with databases and data models (Postgres/SQL etc.).Confident leading technical discussions, making architecture decisions, and mentoring other developers.Happy working in a small, fast-moving environment with a lot of autonomy.Nice to havesExperience in sports, trading or financial systems .Experience with AWS and containerised workloads (Docker, ECS/EKS etc.).Familiarity with messaging/streaming (Kafka or similar).Any exposure to data / ML-heavy products.You don't need to be a golf or betting expert – being strong technically and curious about the domain is enough.How we work / what you getHybrid in Dublin – mix of office and remote, with a lot of flexibility.Small team, high impact – you'll work directly with the founder and core team, and see your decisions in production quickly.A real chance to shape the architecture and direction of the product as we scale.Competitive package including equity .
