Job Title: Fiscal Assistant
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fiscal Assistant to join our Finance Team in Shannon. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the Group Accountant and contributing to the preparation and filing of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and posting of month-end journals, including balance sheet reconciliations and account postings.
* Tax Compliance: Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, including bi-monthly VAT returns and required reporting.
* Banking and Credit Transactions: Post bank and credit card related transactions and maintain accurate records.
* Reporting and Analysis: Circulate monthly reports and assist with ad-hoc analysis and one-off projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Accounting Technician or equivalent qualification
* Strong IT skills, with experience of MS Office products (in particular Excel)
* Experience using accounting packages, with Oracle experience being an advantage
* A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple tasks
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team or independently
