CAD Designer Packaging Manufacturing This role is based in West Cork We are currently looking to recruit a Cad designer with experience in packaging based in West Cork.
This is an opportunity to work with a manufacturing facility who specialize in the packaging are for all industries.
About the Position Working closely with Operations Manager and the manufacturing team, you will lend your expertise knowledge in the area of package design and estimation and advise the company on best practice in this area.
You will also have operational experience.
Experience/Requirements Within this role you will be involved in Ensure understanding and implementation of relevant regulations and directives at both localised EU level and a global level Understand and monitor packaging declaration, packaging composition and packaging waste levels.
Evaluation of packaging materials to ensure they adhere to performance criteria and regulatory guidelines.
Estimate costs related to packaging Conduct external audits regarding packaging regulations, compliance, directives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of packaging processes, materials, and designs based on research For this role you are required to have; A min or 3 years packaging design Ideally you will have experience in a manufacturing environment.
A self-starter and the ability to manage multiple projects as any given time.
Experience with Microsoft Suit and in particular, Excel Experience with CAD Knowledge of EU and FDA regulations in relation to packaging.
Have excellent computer skills and a knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point & Word plus experience ERP systems.
