About The Job
Adhere to and execute the sales strategy and sales activities as directed by global/regional/national sales leadership.
Plan, design, and execute sales strategies through maintenance and business development activities with existing or potential clients, whether by phone, virtually, or in person.
Update and enter information weekly into the HISA CRM system (record of activities and business opportunities).
Request from the Finance Department the creation of new clients in the system, the granting of credit for these new clients, as well as the modification of credit conditions for existing clients (expansion or reduction of credit lines, switch to cash payment, etc.
), depending on their payment behavior.
Send instructions, through the Sales Support executives, with all the required and necessary information so that the operations area can effectively implement each shipment.
Provide timely and accurate quotes for maritime, air, land, or multimodal transportation requests generated by current and potential clients.
Additionally, follow up on these proposals to identify the causes of success or failure in each case and suggest improvements to the products.
Advise clients on the service conditions outlined in each of their proposals (pros and cons) and offer the value-added tools and elements the company provides.
Carry out commercial activities within the guidelines of our sustainability, anti-corruption, and quality policies, remaining true to the company's guiding principles and corporate values to ensure business continuity.
Use data analysis and market research tools to create strategies that enhance commercial management efficiency.
Actively collaborate with the collections team, especially by informing clients about invoicing and regularly following up on payments.
About You
At least two years of sales experience within companies related to international cargo transportation and/or freight forwarding, either domestically or abroad.
Technician, Engineer, or Professional with a related degree, or extensive experience in the Freight Forwarding or international trade industry.
Any course or seminar related to sales strategy management, diplomas, or training in sales or customer service is considered a plus.
Skill in preparing/correcting documentation, special quotation forms, and spreadsheets for numerical evaluation and calculations.
Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, emails, proposals, or bids.
Ability to write business correspondence appropriate to the industry.
Ability to present effectively to clients, groups, and other company employees.
Skills to calculate parameters and amounts such as transportation rates, discounts, interest, commissions, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to apply common sense in understanding situations using written, oral, or diagram-based communication.
Capacity to handle problems involving multiple concrete variables within standardized and specific situations typical of the commercial department or its interaction with other departments.
Knowledge of customized forms and legal documents.
Strong command of Incoterms.
