Job Title: Food Safety Officer
This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Food Safety Officer. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained across all production processes.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-focused and hands-on individual to work closely with our team to monitor, record, and maintain compliance with Irish food safety standards and HACCP requirements. You will be actively involved in daily food safety processes, from preparation to delivery, and will have full training and ongoing support provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update HACCP documentation for all kitchen operations.
- Monitor daily food safety processes, from preparation to delivery.
- Carry out regular hygiene checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Work with kitchen staff to collect accurate data and keep compliance logs up to date.
- Identify and report any non-conformance, assisting in corrective actions.
- Support the team in preparing for audits and inspections.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- QQI Level 5 in Food Safety & HACCP or Level 3 HACCP (Supervisor Level) Certification.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Previous catering, hospitality, or food production experience (desirable but not essential).
