Role/Department:
The Consultant will perform an individual contributor role under the general supervision of the Fees Manager, assisting with day-to-day Accounts Receivable responsibilities in a Fee Billing Team while managing their own workload and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and Oversight: Oversee the capture, validation, and review of fee billing data for all clients contracted, ensuring correct interpretation of documented arrangements.
• Timely completion of detailed analytical review and analysis of fee revenue as part of the month end fee accruals process.
• Leadership: Analyze the team's functionality and optimize operations to more efficiently meet team goals.
• Controls: Display a strong control focus within the team, ensuring individuals follow due process and apply documented controls across all BAU billing and collection processes.
Skills/Experience:
• In-depth functional/industry knowledge is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to adapt communication style within different departments across the organisation and senior management.
• Experience with delivering clear and concise status reports and messaging in a timely and consistent manner.
• Strong influencing skills, self-starter with an ability to self-motivate, objective, open-minded, innovative thinker, and change advocate.
• Experienced background in a compliance focused environment (knowledgeable of controls, procedures, and regulations).
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work to a high level of accuracy in a busy environment.
• Flexible approach towards changing work methods, deadlines, and variable workloads.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, highly numerate with strong analytical and organization skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines, adapt and react positively in a changing and dynamic work environment.
• Ability to implement enhancements that will move the department forward, proactively driving continuous improvements by challenging the status quo.
• Strong Project Management/Change management skills.
• Intermediate MS Excel and other Microsoft applications skills.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred, or demonstrate knowledge of the Financial Services industry, with 3-5+ years of related experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or Payroll.
