We have over 50 employees working in Ireland and Spain. We are recruiting a Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer for our new office in Galway.Main Responsibilities:Draft and prepare drawings, designs and diagramsDevelop design ideas and structural design calculationsCommunicate with engineers/architects when preparing drawings/designsCalculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precisionRevise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancementsWillingness and responsive to the demands and coordination of other design team professionals, clients and contractorsLiaise with external consultants and clientsPeriodically to visit sites and take measurementsPerform other job-related duties as requiredBe able to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and deliver projects on timeExcellent written and verbal communication (fluent in English)Self-motivated with great attention to detail and ability to research a subjectQualifications/Experience:Level 8 Degree in Civil and/or Structural EngineeringWorking knowledge of the current Irish Building Regulations and a working knowledge of British and Eurocode Design Standards for Concrete, Steel, Masonry and Timber.Experienced in the use of AutoCAD/Revit and capable of preparing detailed technical designs & drawings.Experience in the use of Robot, Staad PRO-QSE or similar is essentialQEHS MS ResponsibilitiesComply with SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) Management System requirements, i.e. perform work according to process documents and procedures, and maintain document information/complete department forms/records as required.Understand and apply the SDS Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policy statements in all aspects of work.Contribute towards achieving company's SDS QEHS objectives.Ensure that the needs and requirements of the company's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.Help develop and improve the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates, and improvement ideas.What you will get in returnAttractive salary and package on offer for suitable candidate, including pension scheme, CPD and further training.You will gain great exposure working across a range of projects in a growing companyYou will be working closely with senior staffLocationLoughrea, Co.
