Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Specialist (FEDS)
Temporary, Part-time

Contract Details
Contract Type: Two year Fixed Term Contract
Contract Hours: 13 hours per week
Salary Scale: €68,897 to €80,302 pro rata per annum.
This pay scale is subject to increases in **** in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days per annum pro rata
Overview of the Post
The Clinical Specialist SLT will join our Children's Disability Network Team and will develop and provide specialist supports in FEDS with a primary focus on dysphagia across the fourteen CDNTs in Cork and Kerry.
The Clinical Specialist SLT in FEDS will support all fourteen CDNTs in this region by providing guidance and training for staff across services in the region.
The post holder will take a lead role in the development of the strategic direction of the FEDS service and wider regional DRESS developments in Cork and Kerry in conjunction with SLT HODs and relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Provide specialist FEDS therapy to children and adults with dysphagia.
Develop and deliver training programs for staff across the region.
Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the FEDS service.
Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit activities.
Act as a clinical resource and mentor for other professionals.
Qualifications and Experience
Registered or eligible for registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Minimum 4 years experience working in paediatric FEDS with advanced level competencies.
Demonstrated record of clinical excellence in the specialism.
Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to paediatric FEDS, including post-graduate qualifications or courses.
Experience in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching, or research.
Proof of statutory registration before issuance of employment contract.
Annual Registration
Maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by CORU.
Confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
