The Job Role
To work within the sales team and manage some of our selected accounts. The role will be office based but will from time to time require visits to customers.
The successful candidate will manage the customer expectation and communicate with the relevant departments within Westcoast to ensure that we deliver the best possible customer proposition and service levels. Furthermore, they will be required to develop and grow the existing business with the customer on all products in the Westcoast portfolio.
The role offers a basic salary plus a bonus which will paid monthly in arrears against set targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Build professional, strategic and productive business relationships with the customer on all levels.
* Regularly achieve individual revenue and profit targets.
* Manage the customer order process from receipt of order through to shipment and delivery.
* Manage EDI and product set ups and system updates
* Stock Management - Liaise with product management to manage allocation of stock to ensure maximum fill rate.
* Pricing Management - NMC/OPG creation and management.
* Proactively introduce new products and vendors into the customer for both Supplies and Hardware
* Resolve delivery problems and communicate any delays to the customer.
* Communicate with the customer on back order status.
* Communicate out of stock and lead time information to customer.
* Forecast Management
* Backorder Management ensuring maximum fill rate per order
* Attend conference calls and customer meetings.
* Resolve customer queries and complaints quickly and courteously.
* Report on customer stock and sales both internally and externally.
Experiences
* Previous track record in sales.
* Experience of working in a IT Distributor, IT Reseller beneficial but not essential.
* A good understanding of both the supplies and hardware markets beneficial but not essential
* Proactive Account Management skills.
* Experience of conducting client visits.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Good organizational skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A strong and disciplined attitude to work.
* Good grammatical and numerical skills.
* IT knowledge would be beneficial.
* High level of Microsoft Excel skills.
* Knowledge of IT products required but not essential.
