Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an Environmental Consultant. This exciting opportunity will involve working with clients to develop and implement strategies that promote sustainability and environmental compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of environmental legislation, waste management, and permitting. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others.
As an Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting site visits and inspections, evaluating operations for improvements in recycling and waste reduction, and preparing detailed technical reports.
You will also play a key role in analysing sustainability metrics and trends, identifying client needs, and offering tailored solutions. Additionally, you will be required to communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
* Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, waste management, and permitting
* Familiarity with EPA and local authority environmental requirements
* Commercial awareness and ability to deliver client-focused solutions
* Clear and respectful communication - both verbal and written
* Collaborative team player with initiative and creativity
* Proactive in identifying client needs and offering tailored solutions
* Experience with bidding, project management, or account responsibilities is an advantage
