TITLE OF VACANCY:
Sales Manager, Incentive Department – Dublin (hybrid) Based
THE ROLE:
The Sales Manager will be a highly driven travel industry professional with a proven track record in sales and business development with an emphasis upon North America and the Australasian markets for proposal development and the European market for in-market sales activity.
The individual must be instinctively results driven and commercial with an ability to manage key relationships and convert corporate and incentive business.
An excellent knowledge of the Ireland incentive product offering is a distinct advantage with a general knowledge of DMC services inbound into Ireland being essential.
CORE DUTIES INCLUDE:
Any agreed sales and marketing activities, either in Ireland or in the overseas marketplace.
This could take the form of either desk-based activities, site inspections, familiarisation trips or direct agent/client sales trips.
Maintain a clear and accurate reporting of sales outcomes and activities measured against the Sales Plan.
Preparation and presentation of proposed exciting client experiences and programmes for Business Meetings, Incentives and Events – this also includes liaising with the client to ensure that the business is won for Ireland and particularly Moloney & Kelly.
Maintain and build rapport with customers and prospects to formulate strong, long term business relationships built on trust
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and coordinate and drive development of sales proposals
Development of the costing models for confirmed programmes, including, where appropriate, securing supplier services for the programme and the negotiation of rates for those services
Lead client site inspection trips and where appropriate represent Moloney & Kelly on company led familiarisation visits
Ensure that all funding applications are processed and submitted.
Assisting colleague Project Managers where necessary
Assisting Sales with proposals, costs and presentations
Develop and maintain a heightened awareness of industry dynamics, emerging opportunities and competitive trends.
Identify and capture trends and communicate findings to the Director of Sales
Manage and maintain the CRM database, including setting up new accounts, inputting detailed meeting and telephone call notes and managing opportunities.
General office duties
Supervision and support of any staff/trainees assigned to the Incentive Department
Support with marketing activities within the incentive department including managing social media accounts, putting together content for ezines, website development etc.
Assisting the Abbey Group with its environmental and responsible tourism initiatives
May have to work evening and weekends
Any other duties as assigned from time to time by your Manager or Director (and this could be in another Department within the Group).
You will report to the Director of Sales and in her absence Director of Operations, Moloney & Kelly
Some international travel will be required and will be in compliance with the company's Business Travel Policy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
3rd level qualification in Tourism, Business or Languages or relevant experience
Very good knowledge of MS Office
Fluency in verbal and written English is essential
Excellent knowledge of Ireland as an Incentive destination
Motivated self-starter with a passion for business development and client care plus a commitment to delivering services to the highest level and a desire to be the best for yourself and your clients
Excellent organisational and staff management skills with good attention to detail
Commercial drive and ability to work to identified key performance indicators
Strong positive communication skills
Being client focused, friendly and diplomatic
Team player & able to work in a busy environment
Willingness to travel – both in Ireland and also to the overseas markets
Desirable:
Full driver license (not required but would be beneficial for the role)
