Senior Application Support Engineer Contract Dublin 6-24 Months. My client a large global firm is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to join them on a contract basis, with view for extensions and permanency.As part of the global back office application support, you will be expected to manage user requests and incidents - ensuring end‑to‑end ownership and timely resolution of business queries. You will conduct and perform daily Batch monitoring checks and oversight of key scheduled activities. You will work the business to understand issues and collaborating with product teams, development teams, and vendors to deliver effective solutions. You will act act as the primary point of contact for external vendors. You will complete all internal and external audit requirements in a timely and accurate manner. You will serve as an SME for TTR applications and ensuring project deliverables are released into production in a controlled and compliant manner. You will provide support for system enhancements across PROD / REL / QA environments. You will also be expected to work closely with infrastructure teams to maintain stable and reliable business platforms.Successful candidates will have Strong understanding of incident and change management processes, Good knowledge of batch processing and associated tools.Experience managing Windows and/or Linux servers,Working knowledge of MS SQL and / or Oracle SQL (Toad). It would be seen as an advantage if you had an understanding of Trade & Transaction Reporting (SFTR, MiFID, EMIR) systems and/or related business processes. Also highly desirable if you had exposure to ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence.
