Program Director – Strategic Transformation
Waystone invites you to apply for the Program Director – Strategic Transformation role where you will lead strategic initiatives across integration, global system implementations, and operational transformation initiatives to meet Waystone Group strategy.
Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives by ensuring project scope, budget, and synergy targets are met.
Develop, approve, and continually improve a standardised Program Playbook to provide a structured approach to project delivery.
Conduct discovery sessions to produce a cross‑functional agreed Playbook per project.
Coordinate with Manager – Performance & Analysis to monitor and report on budgets, financial KPIs, and non‑financial KPIs across the Program.
Initiate Proof of Concept analyses and ensure approved concepts are reflected in the Program Playbook and project deliverables.
Oversee execution of the Playbook, managing risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies to achieve critical milestones.
Ensure IT infrastructure and application requirements are aligned with the Playbook and delivered on schedule.
Recommend realignment of projects to guarantee timely delivery of stated benefits where necessary.
Establish project governance models and collaborate with workstream owners to drive budget accountability.
Manage resourcing: determine requirements, allocate resources, monitor performance against KPIs, resolve conflicts, and promote a collaborative team environment.
Design, implement, and execute a Program Communication Plan to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
Lead diversity and creative thinking initiatives, including brainstorming sessions and cross‑functional workshops to foster innovation.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Project management professional qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, IPMA).
Relevant work experience as a project manager or business analyst.
Proficient in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline, preferably in the financial sector.
Proven track record of delivering complex projects, managing budgets, and applying lateral thinking.
Experience in pre/post‑merger integration programmes, global system implementations, and target operating model execution.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
