Overview: We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join our team. The main goal of this role is to provide essential maintenance tool support to our production lines, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal equipment downtime through preventative maintenance techniques.
Company: A leading food group specializing in red meat production. Commutable from counties Tipperary, Offaly, Laois and Kilkenny.
Duties:
1. Manage and prioritize tool maintenance tasks to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, throughput, productivity, and downtime.
2. Proactively identify, analyse, and resolve production issues.
3. Monitor and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) in each department, promoting continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles.
4. Develop and refine planned maintenance schedules.
5. Assist supervisors with technical issues and implement lasting technical/system solutions.
6. Lead project teams in developing, verifying, validating, and implementing new processes as needed.
7. Ensure processes are capable and determine calibration and preventive maintenance needs for tools and test equipment.
8. Address quality and technical issues to minimize their impact on product supply.
9. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
10. Stay updated on new maintenance practices and procedures to continuously improve maintenance standards.
11. Complete all necessary engineering documentation for assigned projects.
Criteria:
1. Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
3. Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
5. Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
Reward:
1. Day shift, Monday to Friday, 0700 - 1600
2. €23.00 per hour, plus time and a half for additional weekend hours
