Group Head of Finance

Key Responsibilities:
* Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts for the group, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
* Lead budget meetings and challenge income/expenditure to ensure effective resource allocation and drive business growth.
* Monitor financial performance, providing actionable insights and advising senior management on key decisions.
* Liaise with external auditors and oversee the annual audit process to ensure compliance and quality.
* Oversee payroll for approximately 150 staff members, ensuring efficient processing and minimal errors.
* Manage cash flow, credit control, VAT submissions, and statutory reporting to maintain regulatory compliance.
* Develop financial models to support new initiatives and funding applications, driving strategic growth and development.
* Supervise a small finance team, contributing to strategic leadership and fostering a culture of excellence.
* Present financial information to the Board and senior stakeholders, communicating complex data in a clear and concise manner.
* Evaluate and implement processes to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, including Companies House and Charity Commission.
Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant with significant experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a charity or non-profit organisation.
* Demonstrated expertise in producing high-quality financial and management accounts, with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve exceptional results.
* Proven experience in payroll and commercial reporting, with a deep understanding of statutory requirements and deadlines.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex data to diverse audiences.
* Demonstrated knowledge of charity accounting and statutory accounts, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices.
