Catering Assistant Panel Fixed Term Permanent Contracts.
Part Time Hours ( from 20 to 33 hours per week).
The role requires flexibility to work between the service hours and days of the business.
Shifts are rostered between 7am and 6pm, across 7 days a week.
The Catering Assistant will report to the Catering Officer I. Responsibilities include: Present for work in full and proper uniform at the appropriate time.
Flexibility and mobility in day to day duties including rotation of tasks within the Catering Area.
Responsible for the preparation, cooking and punctual service of meals on a rotation basis in the relevant areas as defined in the job specification.
Maintain the highest standards of cooking and presentation of food.
Ensure the economic use of all foodstuffs and energy.
Ensure that the Catering Department's Operational Policies are adhered to, e.g. follow the standard of performance manual; adhere to the Hygiene Policy to conform with HACCP; and follow Health Safety Statement/Guidelines.
Any deviations to be reported to the Catering Officer on duty.
Complete daily/weekly cleaning schedules.
Check quality of perishable and non-perishable foods being used.
Ensure proper use/storage of leftover foods and ensure proper use of foods and other materials.
Maintain strict hygiene practices at all times.
Practice high standards of personal hygiene including the wearing of proper attire, grooming, gloves etc.
Maintain knowledge of health and safety/food hygiene regulations and ensure that policies and guidelines are adhered to.
Ensure that the kitchen and all stores are locked and secured prior to going off duty and be responsible for the safe custody of keys in your charge.
Responsible for the security of food, equipment and utensils in the work area.
Eligibility Criteria: Catering experience is essential.
Available for Part time Hours, ranging from 20 to 33 hours per week, working both weekdays and weekends .
We do NOT have 'weekend only' work shifts.
Available to Work Shifts that are rostered between 7am and 6pm, across 7 days.
