Our head office is a purpose-built facility comprising of two separate factories and is home to 180+ colleagues located just outside Arklow, County Wicklow.As part of the Maintenance Team, you will will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely maintenance of equipment, ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and regulatory standards in an Irish manufacturing environment.Responsibilities will include:Carry out mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and utilities.Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime and support continuous production.Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and associated documentation.Work in compliance with HACCP, BRC, and other food safety standards applicable in Ireland.Ensure all maintenance activities follow site safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and permit-to-work requirements.Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for equipment failures.Assist production teams with technical issues to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and maintenance records using the site's system.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and energy efficiency.Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams as required.Experience & Qualifications:Fully qualified Fitter or Mechanical Craftsperson (e.g., QQI Level 6/7 or equivalent recognised Irish apprenticeship).3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food, dairy, beverage, or pharma.Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills with experience in: - Pneumatics and hydraulics - Mechanical drives and gearboxes- Pumps, valves, and process equipment Welding/fabrication (advantageous)Experience working in a highly regulated environment (HACCP/BRC/ISO preferred.Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.Good IT skills and familiarity with CMMS systems.Key Competencies:Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.Ability to work independently as well as within a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or respond to call-outs as required.Commitment to high standards of safety and food quality.What we can offerHighly competitive rates of pay & shift allowance.Ongoing training & Development & Career Development.Competitive Pension Contribution.Overtime opportunities.Access to the bike to work scheme.Onsite parking.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Arklow, County Wicklow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Manufacturing: 3 years (required)Fitter or Mechanical Craftsperson : 3 years (preferred)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
