Douglas Control & Automation are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our ever growing Secondment team in Cork.
Position Overview
* Develops control systems and related equipment, evaluating their reliability and identifying when upgrades are required.
* Gathers technical and functional needs for automation initiatives to aid in planning, resourcing, and ongoing upkeep.
* Oversees evaluations to verify compliance with applicable regulations and to identify any updates needed to meet standards.
* Supports the creation of automation-related deliverables and helps ensure they are completed on schedule.
* Reviews minor scope adjustments and provides the details needed to justify associated time or cost impacts.
* Collaborates with internal engineering teams to align on processes, task progress, and project outputs.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in a Mechanical, Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering or Automation discipline.
* Hands of Automation experience - PLC
* Validation Experience
* Experience with Manufacturing systems
