Role Title:
Site Engineer
Role Description & Responsibilities:
You will report directly to a Site Manager/Project Manager overseeing a full site team and subcontractors, assisting in the safe, timely execution of works in accordance with project budget, programme, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
General
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, supervise and monitor site labour and subcontractors.
Health and Safety
* Ensure safe delivery of works in compliance with legislative requirements, with support from the Site Manager, EHS Advisor, and Contracts Manager.
* Ensure contractors follow approved method statements and risk assessments.
* Assist in daily site briefings to manage interface risks between subcontractors.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
* Report safety incidents or accidents per company protocols.
* Prepare method statements and risk assessments as needed.
* Aim for Zero Harm on all worksites.
Technical/Quality
* Perform setting out and surveying using robotic total station and dumpy level.
* Ensure snag-free project delivery to client satisfaction.
* Coordinate with project team to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
* Resolve technical issues arising from revised details or site situations.
* Support subcontractors with technical knowledge.
* Ensure materials and work comply with specifications and drawings.
* Manage inspection and testing records and submittals.
Management
* Serve as a point of contact for client and designer liaison on site.
* Liaise with all project stakeholders to ensure successful completion.
* Manage requisitions for materials and plant.
* Familiarize with contract documents.
* Monitor progress, escalate delays or risks.
* Assist in contract and sub-programme revisions.
* Maintain records of plant, labour, and materials.
* Ensure equipment maintenance.
* Maintain professionalism and protect company interests.
