Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist in Urology
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide expert clinical care, emotional support, education, and care coordination for patients with urological conditions.
This role involves:
Clinical Practice:
* Managing a caseload of patients with urological conditions, including malignancies.
* Providing specialist nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
* Serving as a keyworker for patients, offering continuity and coordination throughout their treatment journey.
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure seamless patient pathways and timely interventions.
Patient Support & Advocacy:
* Offering emotional support and education to patients and their families/carers.
* Advocating for patients, helping them understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
* Providing information on available resources, including palliative care and community services.
Quality & Audit:
* Participating in clinical audits and service evaluations to improve care delivery.
* Contributing to research initiatives and quality improvement projects.
* Ensuring accurate documentation and data entry into relevant systems.
Requirements include a Diploma/Degree in Nursing, Full registration with the NMBI, post graduate course in Urology, and 3.5 years post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting.
