Food Beverage Assistant As a Food Beverage Assistant at Markree Castle, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Working within the Castle's restaurant, bar, and event spaces, you will provide warm, professional, and attentive service that reflects the elegance, history, and high standards of Markree Castle.
Key Responsibilities Provide courteous, efficient, and friendly food and beverage service to guests at all times Set up and prepare restaurant, bar, and function areas to the required standard Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve them in a timely manner Demonstrate good product knowledge of menus, beverages, and daily specials Ensure tables and service areas are kept clean, organised, and well-presented Assist with weddings, banquets, and special events as required Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures Handle guest queries and requests professionally, escalating issues when necessary Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service Adhere to Markree Castle's service standards, policies, and brand values Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a food and beverage or hospitality role is desirable Bar experience is desirable but not essential A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays Attention to detail and pride in personal presentation What We Offer The opportunity to work in a unique luxury castle setting Training and development opportunities A supportive and professional team environment Competitive rates of pay Experience in high-end hospitality and event service Employee Assistance Programme
