Senior Platform Architect
Overview
Infrastructure Design Services is a team of Technology Architects and Engineers responsible for analyzing and designing the infrastructure framework to meet application, platform, or system needs in line with MasterCard's operational standards and principles.
Engaged from the beginning of the analysis and design phase, Infrastructure Design Services collaborates with application teams and other critical teams within Mastercard to ensure that the infrastructure and application architecture align with security, scalability, and availability standards.
The primary deliverable is the TAD (Technical Architecture Document), which details the infrastructure design for the application, platform, or system.
This role requires experience with internet fundamentals related to web servers, application servers, internet security, and other internet technologies.
The role involves designing and delivering internet infrastructure solutions that meet member, product, service, and backbone requirements.
Experience with Microsoft Visio for designing middleware infrastructure from the ground up is desirable.
The candidate should be able to interface with users, application teams, and stakeholders to determine their evolving needs and requirements.
The role includes generating high-level system requirements based on given constraints, ensuring they are consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined.
Role Responsibilities
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, application teams, and users to ensure all high-level requirements are met.
* Create and maintain architectural products such as TADs, technical documents, logical flows, and models.
* Keep architectural products current and relevant.
* Resolve internet architectural and operational issues impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally.
* Research and evaluate new technologies for deployment in Mastercard’s internet infrastructure.
* Lead regional projects, including planning, resource management, and implementation.
* Implement, manage, and support internet infrastructure components following current standards and best practices.
* Perform problem diagnosis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management.
* Monitor production systems to ensure stability and future compatibility.

* Expertise in core functions related to internet infrastructure design and/or web administration.
