Overview
The Shared Components Service Delivery team is looking for a candidate who can help us solve problems, plan and design the footprint of our systems, and lead Mastercard in defining standards and best practices.
Infrastructure Design at Mastercard is a team of Technology Architects responsible for analyzing and designing the infrastructure framework to fit application, platform, or system needs in line with Mastercard's operational standards and engineering principles. Our team engages from the beginning of analysis and design phases to ensure the infrastructure and application architecture align with Mastercard’s security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards.

Major Accountabilities
* Gather requirements, conduct infrastructural analysis, and produce robust designs adhering to Mastercard technologies and security policies.
* Meet with peers, engineers, application teams, and users to ensure requirements are met.
* Generate architectural documents, memos, logical flows, and models to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
* Maintain architectural products in current, up-to-date states.
* Implement, manage, and support application infrastructure components following standards and best practices.
* Resolve architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product performance globally.
* Lead and collaborate on defining new standards.
* Research and evaluate new technologies for deployment.
* Lead regional projects, including planning, resource management, and implementation.
* Contribute to incident/problem diagnosis and performance tuning.
Experiences
* Exposure to systems architecture, new technologies, and industry standards.
* Participation in global technology initiatives.
* Engagement with business resource groups and communities.
* Ability to build relationships across Mastercard.
Education (preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

* Advanced knowledge of Web application architecture and project delivery.
* Deep understanding of Java Virtual Machine and Garbage Collection.
* Expertise in load balancers and web application firewalls.
* Strong knowledge of network and operating systems.
* Extensive knowledge of middleware technologies.
* Working knowledge of database and cloud technologies.
* Understanding of non-functional requirements like reliability, security, and performance.
* Familiarity with access control, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
* Proficient in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
