The Team and the Opportunity
As an Assistant Manager in EY Ireland’s Tech Consulting team, you will work on cloud engineering initiatives, collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver solutions and ensure technical excellence. This role suits individuals with 4-5 years of hands-on cloud experience, including 1 year in a Team Lead capacity. You will mentor junior team members and contribute to solution delivery.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Deliver hands-on technical work across cloud platform engineering activities (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Support cloud solution implementation from design through deployment, monitoring and ongoing operations.
* Collaborate with team members and clients to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and deliver reliable cloud services.
* Contribute to proposal development and presentations for moderately complex projects.
* Develop high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource in your area of expertise.
* Participate in technical discussions to shape client solutions, focusing on practical outcomes.
* Maintain your personal development plan and continue to build technical expertise.
* Understand and follow EY’s workplace policies and procedures.

To Qualify for the Role, You Should Have
* Third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience.
* 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles, with 1 year in a Team Lead capacity mentoring junior members.
* Previous experience in a consulting or customer-facing environment.
* Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud systems in AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
* Practical exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, PowerShell, Python).
* Understanding of core networking concepts in cloud platforms.
* Experience in Linux/Windows administration and scripting.
* Exposure to DevOps tooling (pipelines, code repositories, CI/CD, automated testing).
* Familiarity with security best practices and compliance validation.
* Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Experience with Agile delivery methods and collaboration tools.
* Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
* Professional certifications in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP are a plus.
* Exposure to Identity and Access Management, Backup and Disaster Recovery, and Patch Management.
