The Role
The AFC function performs a critical role in keeping business operations as well as the global financial services clean from financial crime while serving the interests of society at large. We use state-of-the-art technology such as Java, Angular, Spring Boot, GraphQL, Microservices, Spark, Camel, Docker, Sonar, Bitbucket to support various business functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Write high-quality code with reusability and refactoring in mind. Use test-driven development.
* Define and evolve the architecture of the components you are working on. Contribute to architectural decisions at a department and wide level.
* Exposure to performance analysis and improvement.
* Help your team build, test, and release software with short lead times and a minimum of waste. Develop and maintain a highly automated Continuous Delivery pipeline.
* Work as part of a delivery team, collaborating to understand requirements, analyze and refine stories, design solutions, implement, test, and support in production.
* Help create a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond.
* Design and develop ergonomic and understandable user interfaces. Work closely with users to gain feedback and ensure they are fit for purpose.
* Ensure the software built is reliable and easy to support in production. Be prepared to provide 3rd line support when needed, including on-call duties.
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
* Extensive experience in IT development on project-specific technologies.
UI Technologies
* Extensive hands-on experience with Angular, creating shared libraries, common components, etc.
* Knowledge of UI architectural design patterns, layout structures like Monorepo.
* Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Redux, Bootstrap, Node.js, Wiremock, etc.
Backend Technologies
* Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE (Java 8+), Spring Boot, Spring Boot Rest, Spring Boot Data JDBC, GraphQL, SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL Procedures.
* Deep understanding of REST API/GraphQL API design, development, and deployment.
* Working knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Shell Scripting.
* Experience working in agile teams practicing Scrum, Kanban.
* Experience in creating high-quality web interfaces that are navigable, responsive, and accessible.
* Tool familiarity: VS Code, SonarQube, Jira, Confluence.
* Deployment automation and CI experience with GIT, Maven, Artifactory, Jenkins.
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality enterprise-scale code.
Good to Have
* Familiarity with Business Process frameworks like JBPM or other, and Enterprise Integration Patterns such as Apache Camel.
* Experience with Kubernetes/Openshift package managers like Helm or native YAML.
* Ability to mentor junior developers.
* Knowledge of Financial Services environments, including compliance, trade lifecycles, regulation, risk, and financial reporting, is a plus.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively for planned releases.
