Responsibilities
1. Managing a team within the [region] risk andpliance function.
2. Managing team resources, planning and recruiting new staff as and when workload dictates.
3. Carry out staff performance reviews, identifying staff development and training needs and devising development programmes.
4. Champion FNZ's goals and values.
5. Supporting the team's efforts to succeed.
6. Balance team and individual responsibilities.
7. Exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views.
8. Provide second line of defence advice, oversight and challenge.
9. Oversight ofpliance with regulations and law, including Privacy and Data Protection.
10. Ensuring there is robust risk andpliance management in place for [regional] significant and business critical change projects.
Experience Required
Primary requirements
11. In-depth knowledge of the [regional] financial services regulatory regimes.
12. 5-10 years' experience in working at a senior level within a regulated environment.
13. Significant previous experience of proven leadership and managerial experience, with the ability to lead and develop teams.
14. Knowledge of applicable [regional] regulatory requirements.
15. Professional or industry relevant qualification.
16. Excellent knowledge of risk andpliance best practices.
17. Experience in engaging with [regional] regulators.
18. Experience in analysingplex risk andpliance issues and reporting.
19. Well-developed relationship management and interpersonal skills essential for managers in large institutions and a proven record of obtaining stakeholder buy in across all levels of the business.
20. Strongmunication skills to be able to engage directly with the business, clients and other external parties.
21. 'Hands on' attitude, proactive 'can do' approach, and the ability to get the job done.
22. Ability to understand themercial impact/benefits of regulatory and contractualpliance and risk obligations.
23. Excellent attention to detail.
24. Numerate.
