Dromoland Castle Hotel, a renowned luxury destination in Ireland, is currently seeking an experienced and reliable General Maintenance Person to join our dedicated team. This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a world-class property celebrated for its exceptional guest service and stunning surroundings. We are recruiting for a Full Time General Maintenance Person to join our team.
Role Overview
Working 5 over 7 days (Monday to Sunday) 08:00am to 8:00pm
Weekend Work will apply on rotation basis covering one weekend per month
General knowledge of basic mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks across the estate.
Address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently using the hotel's Maintenance App.
Ensure hotel premises, including guest rooms, are always in excellent working condition.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
Implement preventative maintenance plans.
Keep maintenance stores clean, safe, and well‑organized.
Record daily work using maintenance software.
Work every third weekend as part of the maintenance rota.
Attend to HVAC-related tasks and general facility repairs.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role.
Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail.
A team player with a positive and professional attitude.
Previous experience in hospitality or a high‑standard service environment.
