Lead Mental Health Manager
The role of Lead Mental Health Manager is suitable for experienced clinical, counselling and educational psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, psychotherapists and occupational therapists.
This position requires a mental health lead to provide clinical leadership across the therapeutic service and other aspects such as youth mental health promotion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Overseeing the implementation of clinical policies and procedures in delivering a safe, high quality and effective clinical service.
* Identifying and monitoring risk in relation to the clinical service and ensuring that risk management strategies are implemented and reviewed as needed.
* Establishing and maintaining referral pathways with other health and social care service providers to facilitate seamless transitions for young people in and out of the service.
* Providing clinical supervision, line management where appropriate, to clinicians and senior clinicians.
* Overseeing the input and management of data related to direct therapeutic supports on the Jigsaw Data System.
* Contributing to therapeutic service delivery by holding a small caseload.
* Evaluating and improving performance including achievement of key performance indicators and targets in line with national standards.
* Supporting the professional development of the team, including contributing to the performance reviews of staff members.
* Fulfilling obligations as per The Children First Act 2015.
Requirements:
* A Doctorate or equivalent in clinical/counselling/educational psychology.
* Mental Health Nurse registration with An Bord Altranais.
* Social Worker registration with CORU.
* Occupational Therapist registration with CORU.
* Psychotherapist accreditation with the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) or the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience of staff supervision and providing clinical supervision and case load management to staff.
* Possession of core clinical mental health skills; assessment, formulation, evidence informed therapeutic intervention and evaluation.
