Overview
Our Business Development Managers are responsible for driving business growth for Leyton Ireland. They prospect for, engage and convert new business clients for Leyton UK to consult upon their Tax Incentive & Innovation Tax claims.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and targeted outreach to potential clients.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, including CFOs, tax directors, and other decision-makers.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including tax professionals, engineers, and project managers, to ensure client needs are met and services are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
* Manage the sales pipeline, tracking leads and opportunities and ensuring that all sales activities are documented and tracked in the company’s CRM system.
* Lead client presentations and proposals, communicating the value proposition of the company’s services and addressing client needs and concerns.
* Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential clients and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
* Monitor competitive activity and market trends, providing feedback to the company’s leadership team to inform business strategy and sales tactics.
* Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective sales and marketing campaigns that generate leads and drive revenue growth.
* Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, reporting regularly on progress and forecasting future sales activity.
Qualifications & Skills
* Sales Skills: A strong track record of success in sales and business development, with experience in lead generation, prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals.
* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex concepts and value propositions clearly and persuasively.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about goals, analyse market trends and competitive activity, and make data-driven decisions.
* Relationship Building: Ability to establish trust and credibility and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders at various seniority levels.
* Relevant Experience: Previous experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the R&D tax consulting industry or a related field.
