The Role
The Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services to support safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication management across Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. This role is essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical pharmacy services, with particular focus on specialist palliative care and services for older persons. The post involves working within a small team with the support of senior pharmacist colleagues, so would suit a newly registered pharmacist.
Essential Criteria
* Be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland or be entitled to registration
* Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical practice, medication management, and relevant legislation
* Possess sufficient Office 365 experience for daily operations
* Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment
* Effective written and verbal communication skills including presentation and report writing abilities
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to training and development of pharmacy staff and multidisciplinary team members
* Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction and professional collaboration
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience of working in a hospital pharmacy is desirable but not essential as full training will be available.
Contract Type
* This role is offered as a fixed-term contract (12 months) on a full-time basis, comprising 35 hours per week.
