About the Role
As an Infrastructure Project Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our Sustainable Transport Bridge (STB) project. This project involves the construction of a bridge across the river Suir, as well as associated infrastructure on both sides of the river.
You will be responsible for supervising all civil and marine works, including cofferdams, reinforced concrete substructures, earthworks, drainage, and utility diversions. You will also oversee the construction of foundations, substructures, and superstructures of bridge structures.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise marine works for the STB, including cofferdams and reinforced concrete substructures
* Oversee all civil and marines works for the South Plaza
* Ensure the successful commissioning of movable spans and associated infrastructure
* Manage earthworks, drainage, and utility diversions
* Coordinate roadworks in an urban environment with extensive traffic management
Requirements
* Degree in engineering or construction management (Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
* At least 7 years' postgraduate experience in civil engineering works, with a minimum of 5 years' site-based experience on bridge, marine, or civil works projects
* Experience in administering public works forms of contract
* Experience of civil engineering projects involving construction works over environmentally sensitive watercourses
* Ability to review and monitor Environmental Operating Plans for civil engineering projects, including those involving works crossing or directly adjacent to environmentally/ecologically designated sites and sensitive watercourses
* Strong organisational skills and ability to implement accurate record-keeping procedures
* Awareness of health and safety legislation and protocols
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Fluency/high level of proficiency in spoken and written English
