Salary: Appointment will be made on Portering pay scale (€40,710 to €47,588 point scale) at a point in line with Government pay policy.
Hours of work: Full Time 39 Hours

The Band 1 Team Leader for the Support Service Post Room at Beaumont Hospital is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Post Room.
This role involves managing a team of staff to ensure the efficient processing and distribution of mail and packages, while upholding high standards of service delivery to support the various departments within the hospital.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilties Team Leadership:Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Post Room staff, fostering effective teamwork and communication.Provide training, support, and performance management for team members to enhance service quality.Conduct regular team meetings to discuss objectives, share updates, and promote a positive work environment.Operational Management Oversee the receipt, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages within the hospital.Ensure compliance with postal regulations and hospital policies regarding mail handling and package delivery.Monitor workflows and adjust processes as necessary to improve efficiency and meet service level agreements.Customer Service:Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments regarding mail and package inquiries.Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to postal services promptly and professionally.Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of critical documents and materials.Administrative Duties:Maintain accurate records of mail and package deliveries, including tracking and reporting on service metrics.Assist the Portering Manager in budget management and resource allocation for Post Room operations.Ensure that the Post Room is well-organized, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance service delivery.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in postal regulations to ensure compliance and efficiency.QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics, management, or a related field are a plus.Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role, preferably in a postal, logistics, or healthcare environment.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-focused approach.Proficient in using office software and postal management systems.Skills Leadership and team managementProblem-solving and decision-makingAttention to detail and accuracyTime management and organizational skillsAdaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environmentWorking Conditions The role may require standing for extended periods and lifting packages of varying weights.Standard office environment with potential exposure to postal equipment and machinery.Informal Enquiries ONLY to: Name: Ilie Pop
