Bricklayers Required
LOCATION: Dublin
Cunningham Contracts are actively hiring Qualified Skilled Bricklayers. For ongoing residential and education building projects in Dublin.
Role Responsibilities
* Carry out jobs according to instructions and to keep materials usage to a minimum consistent with required quality standards, obtaining approval whenever any substantial variation from orders is required.
* Work individually or as part of a team to undertake a vast range bricklaying works to the highest possible standard.
* Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to in relation to carrying out works, such as specific job Risk Assessments.
* Follow technical drawings and seek guidance from the Engineer where necessary.
* Provide progress updates to site management and the project management teams as requested.
* Conduct quality checks on all work completed, ensuring client specifications and quality standards are met.
* Ensure that all tools and equipment are kept in good working order and where required serviced regularly.
* Clean all equipment and machinery after use, reporting any damage or defects to a member of site management.
* Provide guidance and clear instructions to any General Operatives
* Help keep the site clean and tidy at all times, removing debris and obstructions.
* Act as a mentor to any junior and trainee employees assigned to the team (such as apprentices), sharing craft knowledge and best practices.
Must Have:
* Safepass Card
* Manual Handling Certificate
* A Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Skilled Bricklayer working on Residential, education or Commercial Building projects in Ireland
H&S Responsibilities

* Take reasonable care as the Health and Safety of yourself and others may be affected by your actions.
* Work in a safe manner and observe the Company Health and Safety Rules and Procedures.
* Use the protective clothing and equipment provided.
* Report to your Line Manager any incidents that have led to or could have led to injury or an accident or have affected the environment.
* Report all injuries promptly that occur to yourself at work and obtain the necessary first aid treatment.
* Cooperate with Managers and other personnel of the Company to achieve a healthy and safe workplace environment.
* Help in the investigation of accidents in order to prevent recurrence.
* Observe the Company personal hygiene requirements.
* Set an example of safe, correct behaviour, particularly to new entrants and young persons.
* Report any hazard / defect you may observe promptly to your immediate line manager.
* Report any shortcomings in systems of work or procedures to your line manager.
* Not to interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare or yourselves or your work colleagues.
* To comply with safe systems of work at all times
* To advise managers when not trained for tasks you are being asked to carry out.
