What you will do:
* Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
* Conduct credit checks on new clients and assess their creditworthiness based on rental history and financial information.
* Communicate with clients regarding overdue invoices, payment terms, and any discrepancies in accounts.
* Negotiate payment plans or settlements for outstanding debts while maintaining client relationships.
* Generate and distribute monthly statements and overdue notices to clients.
* Collaborate with the sales, operations and finance teams to reconcile accounts and resolve rental disputes.
* Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and client communications in our system.
* Report on accounts receivable status and credit control activities to management regularly.
* Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
What you will need:
* Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of credit management principles.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Good attention to customer service.
* Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (inc. Excel and Outlook).
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
