Part-Time Machinery Electrical Technician Co. Louth Talent Curve Recruitment is managing a search for a qualified Electrical Technician / Electrician on a part-time basis. Our client is a leading, established manufacturer in Co. Louth, renowned for investing in advanced production equipment.. This permanent, part-time role offers excellent work-life flexibility, working 25.5 hours per week (3 days x 8.5 hours) to ensure the peak performance of high-spec machinery. Core Responsibilities PPM Schedules: Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on sheet metal production machinery and workshop equipment. Fault-Finding: Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults on active manufacturing assets. Specialist CNC Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and support CNC and automated fabrication platforms, including Amada, Jorns, and Thalmann machinery. Upgrades & Installs: Assist with workshop electrical installations, system upgrades, and machinery modifications. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all machinery operates safely and strictly complies with site health and safety standards. Documentation: Keep precise maintenance records, parts usage logs, and electrical system documentation. Candidate Profile Qualification: Fully qualified Electrician with a relevant trade certification (National Craft Certificate, SOLAS, or equivalent Level 6 qualification). Experience: Proven experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial manufacturing machinery (ideally within a sheet metal fabrication or engineering workshop). Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic capabilities covering electrical control systems, motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), sensors, and PLC-controlled systems. Machinery Knowledge: Prior experience with Amada, Jorns, or Thalmann metal processing machinery is highly desirable. Aptitude: Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage maintenance schedules effectively. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: €27.00 €30.00 per hour (Negotiable based on experience). Hours: Part-time, 25.5 hours per week (typically structured as 3 x 8.5-hour days). Flexibility: Highly stable, flexible part-time working schedule (23 days per week). Environment: Clean, modern, and professional workshop working alongside a highly supportive engineering team.
