Orange Recruitment are now sourcing an experienced Engineering & Asset Care Manager to join a major pharmaceutical operation based in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.This is a senior site-based role suited to someone with strong maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, industrial or regulated environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, operational continuity and continuous improvement across a busy production facility. The position offers long-term stability, strong career progression and the opportunity to lead a high-performing technical team within a well-established and growing operation.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading all maintenance and asset care activities across the facilityDeveloping and implementing proactive maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and operational efficiencyManaging preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance schedules across plant equipment and site systemsSupporting equipment reliability and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operationsLeading, mentoring and developing a team of maintenance technicians and engineering personnelEnsuring all maintenance activities are completed in line with safety standards, compliance requirements and company proceduresManaging CMMS systems and maintenance planning activitiesOverseeing spare parts, tooling and contractor coordination to minimise downtime and operational disruptionSupporting root cause analysis investigations and implementing corrective actions to improve reliabilityManaging maintenance budgets, supplier relationships and external service providersMaintaining accurate maintenance documentation and supporting audit/compliance requirementsProviding operational performance reporting and updates to senior management teamsIdeal BackgroundMinimum 5 years' experience within a maintenance leadership or engineering management rolePrevious experience within pharmaceutical, manufacturing, industrial, food production or regulated environments highly desirableStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsExperience managing technical teams and coordinating maintenance projectsGood knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and CMMS platformsStrong organisational, communication and problem-solving skillsEngineering qualification or relevant technical background advantageousExperience driving equipment reliability and operational improvement initiativesFlexibility to support operational requirements and occasional on-call activityWhat\u2019s on OfferSenior technical leadership position within a major manufacturing environmentStrong long-term career progression opportunitiesStable and growing sectorExposure to advanced equipment and site operationsSupportive and collaborative engineering environmentCompetitive salary and benefits package
