The Lidon Group are currently recruiting for a Client-Side Project Manager to manage and coordinate a new build of a Motor Dealership from a green field site .
The role will include overseeing the building and construction on site, ensuring targets are met and compliance is strictly adhered to.
Contract Type: Specific Purpose - the contract will end upon completion of the project
Key Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of construction techniques as well as project controls procedures, quality and health & safety.
Overall construction management and control of the project from the completion of the design stage through to final construction, on time and within the budget.
Monitoring contractors and consultants for compliance with their contractual responsibilities.
Monitor progress of construction to time, cost, quality and high standards of health and safety.
Review of contractor operations, assessing both the strengths and weaknesses, implement changes and drive contractor workforce to deliver.
Maintain awareness of project progress and, where required, plan staff mobilisation and demobilisation accordingly.
Maintain awareness of the financial status of projects.
Ensuring that consultants and contractors are being proactive in problem resolution.
Work closely with Building Manager, Architects and all professional resources
Act as a central point of contact between internal teams, external consultants, contractors and stakeholders, overseeing the project progression through planning, procurement, detailed design, construction and handover
Contribute to commercial oversight, including budgeting, cost control, and development appraisals, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality
Experience and Qualifications
A qualification in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Building Services), Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
5-10 years' experience in engineering, project management, or development delivery within the Irish construction or property sector
Strong technical understanding of engineering design, infrastructure delivery, and construction methodologies
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
A proactive approach with strong technical judgement and risk management capability
